Public Invited to Witness Inauguration as CCNC Commits to Being Your Hub for Local Civic Engagement
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – In a community where civic involvement forms the bedrock of our society—especially alongside the exemplary service ethos of Fort Bragg—Fayetteville will inaugurate its newly elected Mayor and City Council on Monday, December 1, at Fayetteville State University.
The ceremony, open to all residents, begins at 6 p.m. in the J.W. Seabrook Auditorium and represents a cornerstone of local democratic participation. For a community that honors service at every level, from military families to neighborhood advocates, staying informed and engaged with local government is not just a privilege but a civic responsibility.
Mayor Mitch Colvin, elected to a fourth term, will be sworn in alongside council members representing all nine districts. The full slate of officials taking the oath of office includes Stephon Ferguson (District 1), Malik Davis (District 2), Antonio Jones (District 3), D.J.
