Tax Administration office hosts November sessions on business property and gross receipts filing requirements
CUMBERLAND COUNTY — The Cumberland County Tax Administration Office will host two free informational presentations this month to help local business owners, accountants, and CPAs navigate business personal property and gross receipts filing requirements.
The next session will be held at the Cumberland County Agriculture Center (301 East Mountain Drive, Fayetteville) on:
- Thursday, November 13 from 2-4 p.m.
County tax experts will provide practical guidance on properly listing business personal property with the Tax Administration Office. Gross receipts staff will cover essential filing requirements for four key areas: Food & Beverage, Room Occupancy, Heavy Equipment, and Rental Vehicles.
These workshops offer valuable opportunities for Fayetteville, Hope Mills, Spring Lake, and surrounding area businesses to ensure compliance with local tax regulations while maximizing potential deductions and avoiding common filing errors. The sessions are particularly timely as businesses prepare for year-end accounting and tax planning.
The County's initiative demonstrates practical government support for local enterprises that drive Cumberland County's economy, from downtown Fayetteville restaurants to equipment rental businesses serving Fort Bragg and beyond.
Business owners should register directly by contacting the Cumberland County Tax Administration Office at 910-678-7507 or visiting www.cumberlandcountync.gov/tax. Space may be limited, so early contact is recommended. For ongoing county business news and updates, follow ccnc.news/.
